Loafer-ing around

At the beginning of the season, I made a list of a few key pieces I wanted to add to my wardrobe and I’ve slowly been ticking the items off, thanks to a huge sell-off on ebay. Loafers being one of them.  Its official shoes are my new therapy!

I’ve been eyeballing loafers on instagram for what feels like an eternity –  anything Gucci (to be specific) #gucciloafers.

I happened to spy these gucci dupes from Office and the rest is history as they say.

So now I am officially owning them all over insta……

Buy mine in black here or for an updated floral look here

Pink is going to be HUGE this season, check them out in metallic pink here YES PLEASE

Circle of Life

So I was lucky enough to be gifted a while ago with this gorgeous circle necklace from Bacoca Boutique and have been instagramming the hellllll out of it ever since as I have been a bit slack on the blog of late.  I really did intend to get back to regular posts honest :).

For those of you unfamiliar with the brand, Bacoca Boutique is an online company offering to inspire you through jewellery. Regardless of age, they believe passionately that every women has the right to look and feel fabulous.

As well as featuring some on-trend jewellery, they also feature some traditional pieces such as the circle necklace. When they got in touch and asked if I’d like to try out their service, naturally I was pretty excited…

As seen on celebs such as the towie girls, I have an absolute love for this brand!, great comms, super fast delivery, great pieces, oh and great prices! whats not to love.

So much so that I purchased the black clover bracelet.

Happy Hump Day

Hats off to Penmayne

A real showstopper.

I have never really been a hat person, mainly because 1 ) I didn’t think they suited me and 2) I didn’t feel “cool” enough to wear one.  So to my delight, when I won this fedora I was like Pharrell Williams in his hat “happy”.

Camel Coat : Asos old and much loved.

Scarf : Mango old but similar here

So here are the chic Penmayne facts:

1) These hats are handmade in the UK and are simply beautiful (I cannot express this last bit enough).

2) When you touch the hat, you can feel the softness and quality of the felt (again trying to express the uba quality as above).

3) The colour and finishing touches are exquisite, right down to the packaging which includes the big hat box.

Jacket : Zara

Star Jumper: Florence and Fred

The Penmayne hats are definitely timeless and worth spending that extra bit of money on.  Yes Primark do a variation but quality definitely rules this time (sorry Primark).

For me, I would say Penmayne pieces are simple to style, fuss free and are also very flattering to all ages.  All of which are win wins as are they important facts to consider when choosing that investment piece.

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend.

Victoriana Lace

Victoriana lace blouses which I absolutely love are here to stay …. judging by the reaction on Instagram.  This H&M one ticks all of the boxes –  a delicate and intricate lace fabric with detailed styling, a perfect fit and cuffs with the WOWEE factor! It’s a classic piece with a modern day feel about it. I think it will be one of those pieces that never fails to receive a compliment any shape.

Right on cue………. and ready for spring/summer 2017

Lace top – This is new (obvs) and I LOVE it.. high neck and the perfectly portioned billowy sleeves. – Buy similar  here

H&M have also introduced it in another colour, green which aptly is pantone colour of the year 2017. Buy here

Leopard Print courts from Hobbs old but similar here

Cardigan from The White Company similar here

I’ve worn the Ivory colourway endlessly, pairing it with denim or for a smarter look with wide legged trews as it looks equally as stylish dressed up.

Coat and Jeans old from Zara.

Pendant Necklace from HM sold here

Have a lovely weekend.

THE MUST HAVE Leopard Coat

Leopard print coats sound a bit Bet Lynch but this one is exception to the rule.  Florence and Fred have done it again and produced the most amazing coat for a mere £29 which was then reduced down to £9.  If you are a skinny malinky then you’re in luck as they have small sizes still available.

Sadly my size was sold out on the website but successfully sourced from the good old bay of e or ebay as it is rightly known.

Celebs such as Ferne Cotton were also getting in on the supermarket chic action.

The colours are beige/browns and are fairly muted which stops it from being an in your face kinda leopard.  Can be paired with black, stripes, any colour really as it has such versatility about it. It also has a lovely tailored ( boyfriend ) fit to it, I would have preferred a size up as when pairing it with a chunky knit jumper it feels a little snug!

Weekend vibes only (insert happy face emoji).

Pearly Knit

This Florence & Fred Jumper deserved a blog post all of its own. I’m not usually a fan of jumpers but this one sits so well.  Testament to its popularity is the fact that I’ve worn it on four separate occasions since it arrived with me 10 days ago. I love it when you find something in the sale that you can happily wear every day and not get bored of.

I’ve always wished for a wardrobe of gorgeous classic knits and there’s something quite subtle about the pearl and sequin detail on the front.  The wardrobe staples that stand the test of time for me are the ones made from the softest warmest most luxurious material and this one is no exception.

Styling it is very simply, in this blog post with some skinny jeans – old but similar can be found from Debenhams here and tan boots from Lidl.  Hashtag: simples

Or alternatively for an extra on fleek look with a fedora hat, this one is the willow from the lovely people at Penmayne.

Suede Biker Jacket

Inadvertently this week I think I may have found the best trans-seasonal jacket to take me well into Spring and beyond. This is my first order from boohoo.com (I know where have I been!!).  Mainly because I thought I was too old, boohoo!!! But my purchase seems not to have failed me as I think I might have just managed to nail it with this stunning suede jacket.

Ordering from boohoo was an absolute doddle to – with the added bonus, if you order before 9pm then you can get next day delivery for £1.99 using code LOVEIT or before 4pm, £1.50 using the code FORME. I ordered the size 10 and it fits perfectly, might need to sort the epaulettes out!!! I have got a feeling this piece in particular, is a keeper for many many seasons to come.
