I was invited along to Searcys Champagne dinner at 10-11 Carlton House Terrace last night to help them celebrate National Champagne Week which kicked off on the 1st October and runs until the 7th October. Searcys have launched this special week to help boost the knowledge and understanding of champagne as well as showcase the new rooms at Carlton House, a property off of Pall Mall that was once home to the Prince Regent. The rooms are absolutely exquisite and unfortunately my camera phone pics didn’t do any of them justice, so some of them will be stock photos.
Searcys are hosting a week of complimentary tastings across their Champagne bars so go visit them if you can.
10-11 Carlton House Terrace has a variety of rooms for private hire, weddings and conferences. Overlooking The Mall, the central London location couldn’t be better and as you enter the building you are greeted by a wonderful staircase up to the rooms.
You are greeted by Searcy’s staff and soon the bubbles are flowing with a Lanson brut, shortly followed by ‘Taittinger’ extra dry champagne. Both were equally fruity and delicious and, after conversations with several people and we were led into the music room for a wonderful dinner.
Supper was lovely with superb wine pairings I loved the halibut…
…before very luxurious desserts helped a sweet champagne, a sec, go down, yum! What a wonderful meal.
And then we went in search of photo opportunities and discovered this wonderful staircase.
I could not help myself and soon we were snapping away as I modelled my dress for the evening, a quite conservative and classic grey knit dress from Jaeger.
Searcys were using the event to showcase their venues for corporate clients and weddings. For 179 per head the night could be yours, along with harpist, a magician and all the staff. I could not recommend it more. It was a lovely evening.
