So I have been eye balling the Barbour jacket for sometime.  It is the quintessential Best of British brand and everyone should have one. When I saw the giveaway from Helen aka the Love Cats Inc I set about immediately writing a post in the hope of winning this £250 giveaway which is a huge massive deal as competitions like this definitely don’t come around too often.

So for the history…..
Established in 1894, the prestigious Barbour brand represents over 100 years of commitment to style, design and quality in clothing for women, men, women and children. Hailing from South Shields, J Barbour & Sons Ltd was started by John Barbour in the Market Place of the town. Originally started as a supplier of Oilskins the brand has gone on to become one of the most respected names in quality outdoor clothing. Comprising of a wide range of clothing types the Barbour style has been epitomised by the iconic jacket designs that have become so recognisable in the fashion industry.

How I would style it…..
I have to admit that the masculinity intimidates me a bit. But, I’m officially sold as I can see that it will be my go-to jacket for casual errand running, quick trips to Starbucks on early weekend mornings, and less-than-ideal weather conditions.
