Whether you’re wearing them green, gold and gaudy or going for a subtle smattering of sequins, there’s no denying festive jumpers are officially a thing – the UK has even decided to dedicate a national day to them ! This season at Topshop, however, the styles of yesteryear have been pared-back and upgraded with a healthy dose of winter cool. So for the final days of 2014 I carefully chose this delicate knit to see the year out in style…..
I absolutely love the feel, very cashmere except without the price tag, I bagged it for £20 in the sale. Reduced from £46 which to be fair is still a good price. I bought the 12 as it is slightly less generous with its sizing. I don’t think a 14 would have been too big however more about that drama later……
The Guardian also rated the jumper as one of the best for this year.
I hunted and hunted and 4 yes 4! Topshop’s later (Chelmsford, Outfit at Chelmsford, One New Change in London and finally Oxford Street) I found what I think is possibly the last one in the country!!!! I braved the crowds sorry stupidly went to Oxford Street and after a huge amount of people barging (them not me), pushing and nearly knocking me over (yes this did happen – nothing stands between girls and a bargain), got the jumper in my paws and I was not letting it go! Sadly no longer in stock on the website and not doing the rounds on eBay yet either.
As I am out this evening with my friends “The Greens” and seeing as the year is nearly over (I guess this time of year still counts as Christmas right) I decided to wear it with my faux leather skirt from Warehouse available here
