Searching for the perfect coat has been sooooo stressful. I’ve seen loads I like but none I want to commit to, just in case I see a better one! I think half the issue is I’m over thinking it. Trying to find a multi trend coat which will look good with everything. This in reality does not exist. I’ve been trying to source a camel coat for a while and after stumbling in a local cancer research charity shop for Christmas cards, I stumbled across this coat.
It is something that has been on my mind a lot and can be seen everywhere from Etsy to Isabel Marant, from the ultimate fashionstas like Rihanna and Alexa Chung to lil ol’ fbloggers like me. You simply cannot escape the wool coatigan. And you know what they say? If you can’t beat em join em.
Yes it’s not camel! Instead it’s a cosy woolly coat, with a brushed finish and the mohair is totally en trend. It doesn’t get better than this, apart from the money going to a really worthy cause and it being from the Marks and Spencer collection, it was priced at £8.95! Not one for charity shops I’m totally converted if I find these sorts of bargains!!!! As they say ‘one persons rubbish is another persons treasure’. I felt like I was slightly cheating cancer research out of money as the coat was so darn cheap. I did buy some Crimbo cards to (she says trying to ease conscience). I absolutely love the pattern on the coat and is also the pantone colour of 2015. Shweeeeet.
I had been style crushing on the gorgeous Alexa Chung in her Tommy Hilfiger coat in last weeks looks magazine. And Rihanna has been seen rocking a red and black similar effort.
Today was the first outing, teamed with my jacquard skirt and roll neck top, this outfit is perfect for a wintery all be it blustery day. Similar coat available here. I wore it today, and I love it.
