I saw long over the knee boots last year and decided if they came back in fashion this winter I would definitely make like a cat and purrrrr-chase. Thankfully (maybe not so for the bank balance) over the knee boots never went away.
The leg lengthening, over the knee boot is definitely a statement must-have for AW14 and not only looks super stylish, but keeps you pretty cosy on cold days too.It would seem that only tall girls can get away with this look but petite girls should not be afraid as there is a style to suit all.
And now the british fashionista has made the leap of faith and bought these beauties from Kurt Geiger similar here
I am currently deliberating if they are work appropriate as worn with a smart woollen skirt and roll neck, could look could look both feminine and flattering. However I think my preferred look will be over tight skinnies with a fluffy jumper for a more casual look.
And of course my two favourite fashionistas OP and MM can rock any look they choose with their over the knee boot collection, and frequently do.
So let’s talk about thigh high boots. Love ’em or hate ’em, I think it really depends on how you wear them. Let’s be honest, if you wore them with a tight mini skirt then yes you might end up looking like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman but there are many ways that these provocative boots can be worn in a classy and polished way. Admittedly mine are not quite thigh high – well One has to gently ease into this fashion trend after all…..
Excuse the bad lighting. I was so excited I had to wear them around the house last night. Having only had them on for a few hours I could tell they were going to be my go to boots as they are soooooo comfortable. I love the gold on the heel to and they are super tight so I know they won’t start slipping down. That’s the trouble with skinny legs, finding the right boot can be problematical as a lot of boots are made for girls with bigger calves. They were £220 reduced to £149, although still quite pricey (thank you mum for my early Christmas present) they are a sound investment as sometimes quality has to take over.
Have you worn thigh high boots before? If so, I would love know how you styled them.
