To be honest I do like, to quote Ferris Beuller, “to stop and look around once in a while.” I tend to catch up with all that essential reading…
in both hard copy and online…
and in the 10 months of writing The British Fashionista, with all the fun of events, and awards ceremonies, and exhibitions by designers, and catwalk shows, and all the excitement of researching and planning posts, and Instagam, and Twitter I have stopped and looked to see what those selling on eBay consider to be essential “fashionista” items. I have done this a few times, and the trends are there. Remember this?
And then later this, and a Kurt Geiger inspired eBay cart.
So I thought I would look again, go onto Ebay and search for fashionista, expecting, as I always do, ZARA to feature heavily.
And that is where I start with this assymetric top from ZARA.
I have always liked this, but it was a small.
Simply wow! Lanvin are appearing more and more on the vintage and preowned auction and boutique sites (see my post Pre-Loved and Gently Used) and this stunning black ruffle cocktail dress RRPd at £1900 back in 2010. Size 8, so too small for me, but I can always dream.
Next up he All Saints Iris Lorie camel coat. Yum. Brand New With Tags, RRP £298. Perhaps a bargain for Autumn?
The Topshop Origami dress was a popular item back in the summer, if you can cast your mind back (did we even have a summer?) Appearing in a lot of magazines and selling out after being seen on the celebrities du jour, now yours for £32.50 plus P+P.
And finally footwear. I do love Office, and spend and inordinate amount of time at their One New Change store when on shoe safari and these mock pony hair leopard print beauties do have FASHIONISTA written all over them. For £8 I may well purchase 🙂
