TRANS-SEASONAL

TRASNSS

A trans-seasonal wardrobe can be a tricky thing to master for even the most discerning of dressers.  We are now coming into that in-between season Autumn, where the weather is not quite chilly enough to wear a coat yet it’s far from T-shirt time. Let’s face it you’re probably still debating whether to ditch the tights and to layer.

It can be tricky to transition between the warmer and colder seasons, so in this post I would delve into the world of what to wear when it’s neither here nor there?

The key is, when in doubt, dress for the coming season and not for the season past, but to keep and carry a few things forward. So that summer dress you love and don’t want to put away for a year, what can you add to it to make it more suitable for the cooler days ahead. Think Autumn as being Summer with touches of cosy dressing and not the other way around, i.e. heavier Autumn/Fall clothing with a few lighter items!

I like to think of it this way…

“Your favourite summer dress, you wore it with wedges or strappy sandals, now can you wear it with tights and a Merino wool cardy?”

If you can, voila! A trans-seasonal piece here the summer striped dress we all love turned into an Autumnal piece by fellow bloggers CaitlinRosie, and Jasmine.
