Swimwear Shapes

So having recently booked my holiday I delved into my holiday wardrobe to discover either my bikinis didn’t fit or were just soooooo last season. Having also gone out shopping with my mum this weekend to help her buy appropriate swimwear for her holiday, it made me stop and think that everyone has different shapes and what fits one doesn’t necessarily fit or suit another. Obvious huh!!!!! Part 1 of my seasonal holiday posts is dedicated to swimwear shapes. I have listed the main shapes and the complimenting swimwear types, but have also given you the opportunity to have a little fun yourself with the Swimwear shape calculator here.
Simply enter your measurements.
And the calculator will show you your type.
It even gives you the chance to shop your shape. But then so has The British Fashionista. Here are my recommendations.
1. Curvy all over – detract with spots or a pattern. This tummy control swimsuit also hides a multitude of sins.
2. Bigger on top – try a halter neck
3. Underwire, especially with a bustier top, is great for ladies with large busts
4. Smaller on top add ruffles or a fringe for a little extra something
5. Straight up and down – try a floral bandeau bikini
6. Bigger on the bottom. A dark slimming colour. Or try a pattern to accentuates a waste line if you’re a plus size
