The British Fashionista’s Must Buys for your Summer Holiday

After months of British Winter weather,  the summer season cannot come soon enough. I have just booked my summer holiday to Portugal (yay) and can’t wait to start packing. So all in the name of research, I aim to make this my chicest beach holiday to date.  Check out my current finds from the high street, at least 10 of these will be purchased by June!!!!!. Oh dear better get saving…

 1 Maxi Dress

This fabulous maxi dress will take you anywhere: beach, bar and beyond.

2 Bikini

For sunny Mediterranean beach action it’s worth packing a bikini. As every seasoned traveller knows it is a good idea to alternate your summer holiday swimwear. I have this gorgeous bikini from South Beach  and can thoroughly recommend it. The British Fashionista modelling the South Beach bikini in Malta last year.

3 A Good Book

Between lazing by the pool and the sea everyone needs a good read. Kindles may be the way forward but personally I can’t beat a good old book. Top reads from Waterstones.

4 Head scarf

I loved this headscarf that Binky Felstead wore in Goa, very boho chic, get similar here from Etsy.

hol35 Passport holder

Why not travel in style and keep your passport, money and tix all in the same place with this gorgeous holder from Oliver Bonas.

6 Kaftan

Check out this fabulous Kaftan from Boden. This is an excellent beach cover-up (when you have over done it on your first day) and works for day trips and relaxed evenings.

7 Chic luggage

For the style-conscious female traveller, glamour doesn’t stop at the EasyJet check-in. Choose an eye-catching Lulu Guinness suitcase that not only looks good but offers superior packing opportunities- including a gift-boxed set of drawstring bags for shoes and other valuables.

8 Beach Bag

Don’t be thinking that a versatile travel bag can double-up on the beach – no one’s happy with a purse full of sand and a clogged-up mobile phone. Avoid any unnecessary inconvenience by using this bag from Wildfox.

9 Beach towel

So this Itsa beach towel doubles up as a beach towel and a bag. How cool is that? Too cool for school?

10 Sunglasses accessorize

I love these shades, chic, inexpensive and fabulous. I just couldn’t find them anywhere in the City in 3 shops.

11 Sandals

Everybody’s got some old flip-flops they can throw into the suitcase – so why not push the boat out and add a pair of embellished sandals too? Perfect for posh sightseeing tours and evenings at the hotel bar. Will def be purchasing these beauties from Aldo.

12 Lotion Lancôme

Always important to cover up with a high factor, personally the higher the factor the browner I go.  Lancome have this lovely mist bronzer #factor30

13 Hat

Big floppy hats are a beach essential especially this one from Seafolly.

14 Camera

You want to remember your holiday and reminisce on the good times so why not get snap happy and invest in a nice camera to take some cool shots.  I have a Sony cyber shot which is similar (pink of course) and it takes excellent photos!

15 Shorts

Denim shorts are always in fashion.

16 Day Dress

As florals are very much in fashion this season this florally dress from Stradivarius is great for the day as it is very light material. Again modeled by The British Fashionista in Valetta.
