The British Fashionista Guide to the January Sales

sale

The January Sales are an exciting part of the annual fashion calendar. Suddenly there is the tantalising chance that you can afford items that you’ve been lusting over for the whole season. While the lure of the sales is tempting, dealing with the crowds, queues to get in the car park and in the shop are definitely not.

We know that there are some people out there with a militant sales strategy who always seem to find those gems on the high street. For the rest of us though, coming back with bags full of impulse purchases can leave you with some regretful purchases that will lay unloved at the back of your wardrobes.

Fear not as  I have put together some top finds for January 2014. Armed with an imaginary pot of money I wanted to see how much I could save in the sales, and find the best sale steals.

Below are some of my favourite sale picks which are still in stock, happy sale shopping!

I love Accessorize’s range of rings, in particular the stud and jet stacking set which come in sets of 6 and retails at £5. When this set went into the sale i couldn’t resist making a purchase! Check out the rest of the UK Catalogue for more. Was £10 now £5.

I couldn’t quite believe my eyes when I came across this dress from Dorothy Perkins. I love this dress, despite it never making an appearance on my blog before for some reason! It’s a really pretty piece and I adore the detail on the front of the dress. Dorothy Perkins have up to 50% off in store, this dress is reduced from £45 to a very reasonable £12 and it is still in stock.

And these beauties from Kurt Geiger £240 now £95. Although still quite expensive, a discount of £145 is pretty sweet.

I love a martini especially when it’s in the form of a clutch. The crocodile effect makes it look very luxurious and expensive.

I bought far too many coats this winter.  As an alternative you can pick up this amazing biker jacket which will go with anything reduced from £60 to £30 on the River Island website.
