Nothing makes us feel as instantly girly as a good old splash of pink. Pink still reigns as the key colour for summer 2014. If you are hesitating about buying it for winter in the hope that it will disappear, it’s time to rethink: pink is here for the long haul.
While some designers recommend keeping your pinks in line, others preferred to mix and match different shades of the ladylike hue. Diane Von Furstenberg and Paul Smith played the mixing game at their respective Fall/winter 2013 shows as well. Both labels presented sharply tailored looks that saw shades of rosy pink combined with jewel-toned fuchsias. Moschino Cheap and Chic are strong promoters of pink fashion with skirted ensembles on their fall 2013 runway blending fierce pink with girlish candy-like shades. Marc Jacobs suggested experimenting with metallic pink fashion as well.
