? What fabrics are hot? What styles should you wear, and what are the to-die-for #TDF must-haves? Read all about it in this British Fashionista’s trend report for winter 2013!
Cobolt blue– Intense, classic, and simply beautiful, these shades of blue are being called the new black this season. In bold, bright tones we are seeing bags, clutches, statement necklaces, shoes, trousers, coats and dresses appearing in the stores and on the streets of London, bringing different shades of blue together in one outfit. The hue accentuates bold white and bold black to make you stand out and can be paired with both and, trust me, if you pick just one bold color this season let it be blue and let it be COBALT BLUE. Cobalt blue is the hue running through boutiques for winter.
Bags are everywhere in this colour and sometimes for the first time. The shop assistant at Oliver Bonas on Lime Street told me this in person, and was so in love with the colour she bought the bag from her own store. But its not just OB. Yves Saint Laurent, Valentino, and the bag maker on every city girl’s arm at the moment Michael Kors are following suit.
And outfits too, can be made by mixing COBALT blue with the trending PETROL blue (as featured in MATCHES FASHION magazine’s AW style books)
